Hawthorn Primary is a one form entry school in the West End of Newcastle upon Tyne. We pride ourselves on our warm, welcoming atmosphere and the excellent relationships we have established with or families and other professionals we work with. We strive to include parents and carers in their child’s education by providing a wide range of opportunities for them to join their child in school. We have achieved the established status in the Inclusion Quality Framework and recognise the importance of inclusion in all aspects of school life. Our school has a rich and tolerant profile with respect at its core. At Hawthorn, we aim to provide pupils with a wide range of opportunities and experiences beyond the classroom. Each year group has a wide range of trips and visits planned across the year to enhance the curriculum. We make full use of our beautiful grounds which includes a forest school area, edible playground and gym area on our meadow.
